The President's Message

JANUARY 2012

James Brown

Well, the New Year has arrived. It is 2012. We hope the New Year brings all the good things you may envision. The New Year also gives us renewal and re-energizes us to move forward, make changes and rebuild with optimism, and renewed faith.

Your board will be reassessing our goals and our accomplishments and visualizing what we would like in the future of your computer group. If you have suggestions for the betterment of this computer group, we would be happy to hear of them.

First, there is a free Computer Support Webinar each Tuesday at 6 p.m. PST via the internet. The events will accept only 200 computer users from around the world. After a short presentation there is a free Q and A. Hours are 6 to 8 p.m.

Second, O'Reilly presents a series of webinars on different subjects. For January, the schedule is Jan. 12, 13, 17, 18, 19 starting at 10 a.m. PST.

Sign up at www.oreilly.com/webcasts.

If you are able to attend, consider sending your comments to our TOE editor, John Weigle, at jweigle@vcnet.com, and we will publish them in TOE. We are always looking for contributions for the monthly newsletter.

Again, I wish you all a Happy New Year, and I will see you on Jan. 28.
