The President's Message

JUNE 2005

David Harris

As you read this, your new president, Lois Evans de Violini, is getting ready to head the club once again since her last meeting as president in 1991.

As my two-year term ends, I can look back and first ask where did the last two years go? It's been a fast couple of years. I have to say thanks for all of you who volunteered to assist your board in running the club and our present board who worked diligently on your behalf. Now that we have a nine-person board, I am sure new and innovative ideas will be coming forth.

I look back and think about the wonderful presentations given by the vendors who support our club.

I have to give a big thanks to those who gave of themselves to head up a SIG. I have repeatedly asked, even begged, for some of our members to come forward and assist your fellow members. Currently we need members to step forward and volunteer in the following areas: We need people to lead a SIG once in a while, assist Ken with membership, lend a hand to Craig with programs or consider being a mentor for the computer group at the Boys & Girls club.

Your board members are each handling two jobs; won't you please step up and give of yourself for our club?
