I want to thank Jim Brown and the rest of the board for covering for Craig Ladd and me while we’re unable to be there. I hope Craig has a speedy recovery.

The Southwest Computer Conference at the Kellogg-West Conference Center & Hotel at Cal Poly Pomona is June 27-29. I’m usually part of the tech support team lead by Dr. Saxton. I hope a member is able to attend and share information from it. I’m not certain I’ll attend this year.

The books available for review are:

  • “An Introduction to d3.js; From Scattered to Scatterplot”
  • “Learning PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS & HTML5,” 3rd Edition
  • “Concurrency in C# Cookbook”

They are looking for people to review “An Introduction to d3.js: From Scattered to Scatterplot” by Scott Murray and “Build a Strong Angular JS Foundation” by Lukas Ruebbelke and Matias Niemelä.

Please contact the board if you are interested in doing a review.

By the time this is published, the security alerts for Google Chrome, Adobe Reader and Internet Explorer might be old news. If you haven’t already done so, I strongly recommend that you be certain you’ve updated to the most current versions.

Happy computing!
