It’s been a really nice spring so far. Weeds are growing great! I’ve been out a few mornings now trying to get ahead of them. So far it’s weeds 100, Lisa 10, or so it seems.

Last month’s presentation was on transforming raw photos into print-ready files. Bob Crum of The Fillmore Gazette spoke at length about the programs he uses to complete the photos he takes. I learned a lot, and it was a very enjoyable program. John will cover it at length in TOE (the program report starts on page 7).

I am really looking forward to the program in June. Toby and Michael will be covering Facebook again. I used to post a lot on Facebook. In fact, I could waste an afternoon reading and forwarding posts. I got involved because my kids and grandkids are on FB, and that is how I keep up with them. I also have quite a few friends who have similar interests or are members of clubs and organizations I participate in. I have over the years found groups I like to follow, such as the Wildcat Sanctuary in Minnesota and various national parks. I would say, however, that a good 33 percent of the posts I get are funny cat pictures. I do love them being a crazy cat lady myself. We’d have more cats if I thought Andy wouldn’t notice.

Another lady I follow is called The Chicken Chick. She has quite a brood and has mastered putting words on her photos, and usually they are pretty funny. I had chickens for short periods of time as a kid out in the country. Usually until they became dinner. I had a lot more cats and dogs. This cat lady thing goes way back.

I’ve been occupied with other things of late and don’t spend nearly as much time in FB as I used to, but still have to check in every day or so to see what is going on.

I am looking forward to hearing all that Toby and Michael have to say on the latest FB procedures and uses.
’til then,
Lisa Toth, president

Happy computing!
