The signs of fall are everywhere. The trees that do change color will soon begin, but our weather continues to be warm to hot.

I am ready for fall and winter. I’m really hoping for some rain this year. The earth is way too dry and the firestorms we’ve been having in the west are so disheartening.

Sorry I missed the Command.com last month. I was really under the weather but am back to myself now.

The August meeting was well attended. I bought my usual $10 worth of raffle tickets and won one prize. The prizes were pretty well spread out this month. I think one person won two.

You know the more tickets you buy, the more likely you will win.

Toby and Michael did the presentation on scams and how we can protect ourselves from them. There will be more coverage later in TOE, but it is amazing how many things are computerized. On our Facebook page, Toby has posted a warning about our kitchen appliances watching us. There is a link there to an article on Supersite.com about this very thing. If you haven’t joined us on FB, now is a good time to do that and read the article.

I told some of my grandkids recently that we live in a magical time. They were sitting on the couch playing with their parents’ iPads. Of course they have no frame of reference.

To them, computers, iPads and all these magical things have always existed.

Well that's all for now, I'll see you at the September meeting.

Happy computing!
